Revival: Lost Southern Voices Festival

Event

Mar 27, 2020 - Mar 28, 2020

Revival: Lost Southern Voices is a two-day celebration of lost and underappreciated Southern writers. During the literary festival, invited writers and scholars discuss favorite authors whose works no longer receive the attention and reading they deserve. We invite the public, scholars, students, writers and lovers of good books to join us for this event.

Our 2017, 2018, and 2019 festivals were wonderful successes, and we hope to see you at our upcoming 2020 festival, March 27-March 28, 2020 in the Georgia Center for the Book auditorium at the Decatur branch of the DeKalb Public Library: 215 Sycamore Street, Decatur, GA.

The festival is free and open to the public but we do request registration of attendees. On our registration site, you have the added option of paying to purchase lunch for Saturday. The reservation deadline for the meal is at 4 p.m., Thursday, March 26.

On our registration site, you also may make a donation to support the festival.

Revival: Lost Southern Voices is co-directed by Jennifer Colatosti, Gina Flowers, Pearl McHaney, Kari Miller, and Andy Rogers.

The festival is supported in part by a grant from the Georgia Humanities Council, in partnership with the Georgia Department of Economic Development through funding from the Georgia General Assembly.

Donations to the Southern Literary Trail assist with developing and promoting exhibits and other educational programs which are free to the public. Donations are tax deductible.
